SUNDEK is an Acrylic Decorative Concrete Coating designed to beautify old or new concrete surfaces. How is SUNDEK applied? SUNDEK is a multi-layered product that is applied by factory trained professionals. Depending on the surface conditions and patterns chosen, there will be 4 to 8 layers of material applied to the deck surface. How long does the process take? Depending on the size of the surface area, flooring can take 1-3 days. A new-build countertop installation or resurfacing existing countertops typically takes 2-3 days. What is a polyaspartic coating? A polyaspartic coating is a protective layer of aliphatic polyurea that is applied to metal or concrete floor surfaces. The surfaces are layered by spraying, painting or plastering to prevent corrosion and erosion. What colors can I use in my decorative Sundek coating? We have 16 Signature Colors, 24 SunDye Colors, and 9 SunAcid Colors to choose from. We also have a limitless array of Custom Colors that can match any surface around your home. How long does it take to complete a job? Depending on size, condition, and weather, a typical installation takes approximately 2 to 8 clear dry days. Is the Sundek surface cool to walk on? SUNDEK is much cooler than typical gray concrete, exposed aggregate, pavers, tile and even epoxy rock applications. It is particularly popular around pool decks where people are often barefoot. YES. SUNDEK can be applied to concrete steps including risers and treads. Why should I choose polyaspartic floor coverings? Some of the advantages of having an epoxy finish include; unlimited coloring and design potential, a highly durable resin finish, and numerous choices between a high gloss finish down to a satin finish. Epoxy flooring and countertops are seamless, heat resistant (up to 550 degrees), non-toxic, food-safe, and very easy to clean. What is the life span of a polyaspartic finish? This can vary depending on the usage of your space. Typically, epoxy countertops & flooring can last 10-15 or longer! How do I care for my custom floor coatings? Floor coatings are incredibly easy to keep clean! You can use a wide variety of cleaning products and methods without damaging the surface, but there are a few things to keep in mind: avoid using abrasive cleaning products; skip the scouring pads, waxes, or polishes. What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic floor coatings? Epoxy floors are much more vulnerable to wear, chipping and stripping. Polyaspartic floors are more durable and flexible, meaning they offer the best protection against anything in your home or garage. How much does it cost?
